I have been giving this to my dogs for almost three weeks and I already see a big difference. My pug was chewing at his paws until they bled. My lab-mix was scratching his ears until they bled and swelled from the constant attack from his nails. I was giving them Benadryl as a last resort, and my veterinarian actually supported this course of action.
But I wouldn't give medicine to my children nor myself for a long period of time (unless I absolutely had to) without looking for a real, lifelong solution that didn't include meds. So, not wanting to medicate these dogs, and subject them to chemicals for the rest of their lives, I went in search for a supplement that addressed the issue of itching.
That's how I found "Pet Botanics: Skin & Coat Supplement." I figured that it had to either definitely work or not. Placebos don't work on a dog.
They are currently experiencing only occasional, mild itching. But to be fair, I did miss a couple of days of giving it to them.
I am ordering this product for the second time as of today (1/2/2009).
Hopefully, I will remember to come back an re-review this product in a few weeks or a few months from now. And, hopefully, I will have good news to report. But, if I'm seeing good results so far, I don't see why it would be any different later on.
Because of the effectiveness of this product, I have recently bought supplements (for humans), including flaxseed oil and other healthy oils included in this product, to try and help my son who suffers from SEVERE eczema.
