Highly Recommend! Sep 13, 2007
By D.L. I put this video in when my rather large pooch was being especially hyper and decided to sit and watch to see how he reacted. At first he kind of freaked out, placing his nose directly up against the TV screen, wondering what and where those noises were coming from. After a few minutes, he stepped away a little but eyes still fixed on the screen and ears straight up listening intently. After another few minutes, he decided to lie down -- but still completely attentive - listening to the sounds and watching the imagery. He didn't make it all the way through the video before he fell asleep, but I was amazed. Not only have I never seen a dog watch television before, this video completely held his attention and calmed him down. Heck, I enjoyed watching it with him myself. I highly recommend this product and it performs as advertised.

Puppy baby sitter. Jan 11, 2008
By Kevin E. Cammer I was very pleased with this dvd. My two Maltese puppies, ages 8 and 5 months love the dvd. I was more surprised that our 11 year old Great Pyrenees also likes the dvd. My wife and I are gone for work and school for many hours and anything which entertains our dogs is greatly appreciated. I would recommend that any dog owners give this dvd a try.

Keeps my dog out of trouble Jan 27, 2008
By Veronica We recently got a 8 month old beagle that is too smart for his own darn good. We decided not to cage him since he is housebroken and keeps the cats occupied. However, everyday I would come home to find something he climbed up on or got into (wicker baskets, toys, ornaments off the Christmas tree, etc). Figuring he was getting bored, I decided to buy a "dog sitter" DVD to entertain him during the long hours we were gone. I haven't had a chance to watch the DVD more than 10 minutes, and I don't know what all it shows, but it does keep him out of trouble. Whether it be the dog sounds, the pictures, or the story, whenever we pop the DVD in before heading out the door, I come home to non-puppy-destroyed house. I don't know if he actually watches it, or if the sounds are just soothing, but the DVD works versus days we just leave the TV on. It reminds me of a public access animal show, or something they would play at one of the county parks visitor centers. I would recommend it, even though it is a little costly. I especially like how it has a continuous play/loop default setting. It's even better than playing classical music! Knowing that the DVD is on is a total relief for me and that when I come home, my little guy hasn't made another mess for me to clean up.

amazing!! Jan 08, 2009

I just put in this dvd tonight to see if my dog would be interested...within 3 minutes her nose was glued to the screen and she was trying to sniff out all the animals. I bought this dvd because she has severe separation anxiety and I just needed something to distract her while I was gone (she wont touch treats, toys, kongs or even marrow bones if I'm not home with her!). I was skeptical about this, but now I'm a believer!!

Perfect! Jan 03, 2009
By John D. Western First of all, I really had no expectations when I ordered this DVD. I have one older dog and one 10 months old. The older dog it has absolutley no affect on (terrier mix), however, she is 13 years old and could care less about anything but eating, sleeping, and well, you know what. The 10 month old it drives absolutley nuts (pocket beagle). He barks through about 80 percent of the video, but watches the entire thing. It gives him so much enjoyment and excersise by getting him riled up that when we stop the DVD, he is so much more calm and relaxed. It actually has him more aware of the TV as well. He watches the regular TV quite often now, and gets very excited over pet commercials, which he never noticed before. It is soooo cute to watch him. Definitely not a DVD I will ever leave him alone to watch though....think the house would be completely torn up. But with having no expectations, I'm completely pleased with the result. Know your pet though before you buy if you have specific expectations. I know it's listed as a show to leave your pet alone with....this will not work with ours!!! But it is perfect at entertaining him with supervision!!!
