When I purchased this product, there was one, five-star review. I was looking to replace a Silent Spinner wheel, as my little guys keep knocking it over and hitting it against the glass aquarium. This product is definitely more stable and extremely quiet, but I have had mine less than a week and the center piece (which holds the wheel in place) has been completely chewed up. I would strongly suggest NOT buying a plastic wheel, as it is not worth the cost of replacing.

The gerbil wheel is actually QUIET, important for night time runs. It runs very smoothly.
