Does the job Nov 04, 2010
By pugz Pugs are notoriously fast eaters. My youngest pug has choked on his food twice because a) he eats so fast and b) he doesn't bother to chew. This bowl doesn't solve the chewing issue, but it has certainly slowed him down.
I only gave 4 stars because I think the bowl with the knobs would be better suited for pugs. It's a little too hard for him to get to his food due to the dividers. I think this bowl works better for dogs with actual snouts.
My pug would probably give it 1 star. He is not too happy with this bowl. Every time I set it down in front of him, he looks at me like, "Seriously? We're still doing this?" But at least there's no more worries about him choking! (Until he figures out how to turn it over)

I have 4 beagles and these bowls have really helped with them not gobbling thier food down, especailly when they are all together, afraid that one will get the others. It holds about 1 cup on the med size bowl even though I only give them 1/2 cup twice a day.

Pleased Jun 26, 2009
By den44 Our dog gobbled down his food so fast he would make himself sick. This dish fits the bill. It has slowed him way down because he has a tough time getting his muzzle down in every nook and cranny.

This thing is AWFUL!!! Oct 11, 2010

My pooch would gobble down her food, causing her to choke. So when I saw this item- I thought it would be the perfect fix. It did slow her eating down... but after a couple of weeks I noticed that her top lip was irritated and scabby. When my husband asked if it could be the dish, I balked... But then I took a closer look and the plastic had gotten sharp due to her teeth scraping it. As a test I went back to her old bowl and within a week the area looked normal again. Now I just add yogurt to slow her down!

Would buy again Jan 31, 2010
By DT We have 3 boxers that would eat their food very fast and then throw it all back up. These bowls have solved that problem, 100%. We've had the bowls for about a month now, 2 feedings/day and no issues whatsoever. The 'skid stop' is a joke, though... they get pushed all over the place.
