Great Choice for the Frisbee Slayer Aug 06, 2008
By Jeff Kraus After some time destroying a plastic frisbee every day or two, we first made the switch to the Kong Flyer, which lasted a while but was really too heavy. I had to throw it fast to keep it in the air, and she couldn't keep up with it.
So I bought this one, even though I figured she'd tear right through it. Surprisingly though, it has held together (for the most part) for months!
It's really light, so it's great for big lumbering dogs such as mine. She can bend it, bite it, do the head-shake-death-grip-kill maneuver on it, and it comes out fine every time.
The only weakness is when she steps on it and then grabs the side in her mouth and tries to rip it upwards. She does this a lot (a few times a day), and she has made a number of small holes in it, but it still flies fine. I just tell her to "drop it" when she starts doing that.
Also, I take it away from her after our frisbee session. I'd recommend that, because if she had time to play with it on her own, it probably wouldn't last.
I've added a couple of product photos.

Border Collies second best friend Aug 05, 2005
By David Smyth

My border collie (Katie) loves this disc. We have given her about 6 other frisbees and she hates them.. wont even pick them up in her mouth. I machine wash it but it does fade... i think to keep it in good shape... i would need to buy about 3 per year.. but well worth it. i would think a vet would approve also... easier on the teeth.

Big Floppy Disc, Small Floppy Dog May 28, 2009
By Aaron Hahn My dog loves this toy, i will throw and she will chase it and bring it back like the good dog she is. The ONLY problem is that she is a quite small (only about a foot off the ground) and sometimes has to hold the disc and tilt her head to the side to make sure she doesn't trip over it when running back (which she does sometimes, and it is quite cute to see). I would recommend this product to any active dog owner, but smaller dogs might want a smaller toy to go fetch.

Bulldog loves it but be prepared to replace Jan 03, 2005

This is my bulldog puppy's favorite toy. However, he's on the third one in a matter of weeks because his chewing and pulling on it tears the seams, which causes the tubing inside to come out.
But, to me it's worth it, because he loves it.

Best Soft disc for medium winds Mar 02, 2011
By Mitchell Mann
"Proud son"
Meet my dog, Cooper. He is a classic catch n' fetch 100% Lab. He will only use the Booda 12 inch soft disc.
The disc is good sized, but in high winds, its a joke...you might as well use a tennis ball. But for the disc dog experts, this one is much easier to use and your not trashing your dogs gums with a hard style disc. You can get 30-40 yards on easy throwing. This isn't like your typical Ultimate 165g disc...you are not going to be throwing any bombs unless the wind is at your back and the throw is level.
The disc is drool resistant and washable. Cooper always leaves it dripping after our limit of 20 throws (he would take more, but we control his obsessions) I've have had about five of these and my biggest complaint is..they are expensive. Yes, they work well and so the expense disappears over time, but when you see all those $5 disc out there and you're paying $15-22...it gets to you like saying "What am I doing buying this dog a $20 disc?" But I do and you should too. He is worth it. It must be good if I keep buying the same brand. Don't bother with the smaller ones. They cannot work as well as the 12 inch. Even little dogs deserved to be treated as they were bigger. Get the 12" one.
The disc itself is extremely durable...I dont recommend it if you are caught getting into any tug of wars with it, so if that describes your dog, this disc will last a few hours. A few of ours have been dedicated to the Pacific Ocean, and that was Cooper's fault to be sure...(it was not a throwing error!). The disc works great at the beach providing there is no rip tide to suck it out to Catalina. I figure a few of ours are on their way to Hawaii. Mahalo!
On behalf of the need to be gentle to your dogs gums and promote disc dog activity. Cooper and I endorse the Booda disc.
